How Minereum works
GENESIS
Minereum was launched on the Polygon Network on the 17th of September, 2021. Initially all the POLYGON airdrop participants received a Genesis Address Level 1, totalling 1,202,595 Genesis Addresses.
SUPPLY
Each Genesis Address was attributed 300,000 coins. As there were initially 1,202,595 Genesis Addresses on the Airdrop, the Total Initial Supply was set to 360,778,500,000 MNEP. However, take into account that in the POLYGON version all addresses are Genesis Addresses Level 1 by default and more airdrop transfers will be triggered.
MINING
Whenever Genesis Address owners upgrade their addresses to Level 2 or Level 3, the mining process starts. The mining process will run for 2,000,000,000 POLYGON blocks with a reward of 0.000150 MNEP per block. The upgrade fees are distributed to the POLYGON Fee Share Holders.
Who else has received 300 Minereum Polygon worth $10k. WTF?
So my wallet has always received spam tokens via the polygon network like zepe, frutarian,DxDex and others. They say should not interact with them and that’s fine. I never have. I ignore them. But today I open my wallet which only had about $80 and to my disbelief it now has a balance of over $10k. I’m blown away. HAs anyone else received this or heard about this? Not sure what to make of it. I’m skeptical of interacting with it. I just find it odd that it would modify my balance since all previously sent spam tokens never did. If it matter its a coin base wallet. Any advice is thanked in advance.
I guess I could create a dummy wallet and send the Minereum to it and see what happens. IDK. I’m a it baffled

EDIT: Thanks to all that replied. Did some research and its indeed a scam. Just found it odd that it changes your wallet balance as none fo the previous spam tokens had. Oh well. At least I can pretend I have $10k in my wallet and fell half as good about it when I open it and see my new current balance. I suppose it will eventually zero itself out.
